2nd Workshop on Quality in the PV Sector
The importance of standards has long been recognized as an efficient instrument to reduce costs and to increase competitiveness of the industry.,But still there are some open questions which need to be discussed: Does standardization constitute a barrier to market development or an advantage and an added value for industrials and the end users? What are the advantages and disadvantages, what are the bottlenecks and the disfunctioning of the system? Where are the limits of standards for PV? What does the harmonisation of testing measurements bring to the industry?
Aims of the Workshop,- Bringing together PV Industry and standardisation institutions in order pave the way towards a more effective collaboration,- Formulating the industrys needs and take them into account in the standardisation process,- Identifying disfunctions in the standardisation development process, causes for the delay of standards and making proposals to improve the situation,-Clarifying the role and accelerate processes of the different standardisation organisations based on industry needs
EPIA, JRC and WIP are organising this workshop. Participants from all over Europe are expected to join. However, the total number of participants will be limited.
