"Research To Business" - Research reinvigorates business

"Research To Business" (R2B) intends to stimulate interaction between the world of advanced research and the business community and will take place in Bologna, Italy on 28 Feb - 1 Mar 2005.,The event will be the first edition of an exhibition that will be organised every year in Bologna.

The main objective of R2B is to foster co-operation between the most advanced research centres and the enterprise world to launch new projects and to develop co-operation opportunities for the transfer of know-how and technologies. It also aims at opening up the access to research for small and medium-sized enterprises who wish to grow through innovation.
Four innovative sectors will serve as the guiding focus of the meetings thanks to which the participating companies will be able to get firsthand knowledge of the latest activities and new developments emerging from the world of research:
AMA AREA (High Mechanical Technology,BIO AREA (Biotechnologies,ENA AREA (Energy and Environment),NewMa AREA (New materials nanotechnologies)
Featuring a very innovative 3-level format, the event will constitute a unique opportunity for highly qualified, dynamic research institutions that are eager to get together with the manufacturing community and explore new business opportunities.
The format will include:
Level 1. Exhibition,Research Centres shall be allowed to meet entrepreneurs in dedicated exhibition booths along a specifically designed pathway.
Level 2. Conferences,There will be the presentation of a few especially significant research projects having the highest industrial applicability. An International Forum On Project Development will be organized to share European,experiences.
Level 3. Meeting Sessions,It will be possible to listen to the Research Centres presentations in 5 parallel sessions, each one for each thematic area.
