ASTP / AUTM Summit on 'Trans Atlantic Technology Transfer'

The Association of European Science and Technology Transfer Professionals (ASTP) and the Association of University Technology Manager (AUTM) are organising a joint summit on "Trans Atlantic Technology Transfer". The summit, talink place on 28 May 2005 in Amsterdam, focuses on common issues and developments affecting technology transfer in the two continents.

Plenary sessions led by expert speakers from Europe as well as the US will cover a wide range of subjects:,- Technology Transfer into Asia an inside track on doing business in this burgeoning market,- Early Stage Development Funds: Bad money after good?,- Managing Institutional Expectations,- Tech Transfer as an Instrument of Regional Policy,- Strategic Management of Tech Transfer: an Impossible Dream?,- Technology Transfer Reflections and Predictions (or, How to stay ahead and keep having fun?)
Preceding the Summit a cocktail is organised followed by an optional dinner Bridging the Atlantics on Friday evening the 27th.
The event will attract around 150 people related to technology transfer within Europe, the US and outside.
Before this event ASTP organises its Annual Conferece on Best Practices in Transfer of Science and Technology on (Wednesday the 25th,) Thursday the 26th and Friday the 27th of May 2005 at Hotel Barbizon Palace, Amsterdam, Holland.
