ASTP- Praxis joint course: Fundamentals of Technology Transfer, Lisbon

This first joint course, Fundamentals of Technology Transfer is the answer for people who have recently joined the profession, and for those who would like to set- up new offices across Europe, especially in the South and in new European Union countries. It gives an overview of the basics of the profession and on all aspects of the Technology Transfer process, covering project evaluation patenting, marketing and deal-making, along with the legal aspects of drafting and negotiating licence agreements.
The following subjects will be covered:,- Evaluating opportunities,- Research Grants and Contracts our role,- IP Primer: Patents,- IP Primer: Contract Law,- Non-Patent IP,- Engaging Industry,- Anatomy of a Licence,- Negotioation and Deal Making,- Marketing Technology
Besides the formal part, the course also offers plenty of informal elements to meet other delegates and share knowledge. On Tuesday evening the 12th the course will start with the registration and an introduction cocktail from 18.30 until 20.00. On Wednesday evening the 13th we invite all delegates to join us for dinner in the inner city of Lisbon.
Please note that the maximum number of participants is 55 (based a first come, first serve basis).
