Proposal Writing sessions for second stage FP6 Marie Curie Host Fellowships for Early Stage Research Training and Research Training Networks

The UK Research Office, in its capacity as National Contact Point for the European Commission's Marie Curie Fellowships, is providing proposal writing sessions for UK-based second stage EST and RTN applicants. The stand-alone sessions will be held on Friday 8th April 2005 (RTN and EST sessions) and Monday 11th April 2005 (EST sessions), at the Medical Research Council, London.

8 April 2005 - 11 April 2005

Aim of the sessions
The aim of the sessions is to provide participants with a deeper understanding of the proposal format and the key issues they are required to address in writing their second stage proposal.
Who should attend?
The event will be of particular interest to UK-based researchers who have been invited to submit a full proposal for second stage deadline for ESTs or RTNs.
Attendance is free.
Programme outline
A total of 4 separate stand-alone proposal writing sessions will be held over 2 days; there is no need to attend more than 1 session.
Each session will provide an outline of the application form for the specific action and in-depth guidance on preparing proposals. The sessions will be based on feedback from evaluators (from current and previous calls), and endeavour to respond to specific areas of interest identified by participants in the on-line registration form. Participants are also invited to send a copy of their ESR to the organisers in advance of the events, so that we can prepare areas of common interest. All information will remain confidential.
