18 May 2005 - 18 May 2005
France

As a result of the I3 project a comprehensive online training and information resource has been developed which aims to address the needs of Business Innovation Centre (BIC) and Business Incubator (BI) staff and managers The project ultimately seeks to provide the staff and management of BICs and BIs with information and training focusing specifically on the different types of support needed by High growth SMEs or High Potential Start-Ups (HPSUs) located in these centres. The project was set up to boost the performance of BICs, BIs and other business support providers by increasing the level of information and training available to their personnel
To reach this objective the project has gone through the following stages:
A thorough analysis of the training needs of target groups including incubatee companies; ,Development of a multimedia training and information resource based on the results of the training needs analysis, comprising 3 modules:
o Creating the high-growth environment identifying, selecting and assisting HGSMEs
o Supporting the early stages of HGSMEs
Consolidation and growth of HGSMEs
An indepth evaluation on the processes adopted throughout the project. The project has been pilot tested with more than 50 organisations across Europe. The average ranking given to the training and information resource has been over 7 out of 10.
The project will officially be launched on the occasion of the EBN-IASP Conference on 18 May 2005 in Nantes, France. This first day of the Congress is dedicated to the presentation of best practice tools and methodologies for BICs and incubators, of which I-Cubed is part.
