ESA Training Courses for Industry 2005 session

The European Space Agency SME Initiative organises its yearly training courses at ESTEC in the Netherlands from June 27 till July 8, 2005 to enable SMEs to better participate in space programmes.

27 June 2005 - 8 July 2005
Netherlands
ESA is taking a certain number of measures in support of industry competitiveness in general and of SMEs (Small and Medium-size Enterprises) in particular. SMEs' active encouragement to participate in its technology programmes is a constant effort of ESA industrial policy and many examples of achievements are featured online at the Industry Portal (http://www.esa.int/home-ind(opens in new window) under "SME Achievements").
This encouragement is implemented through a programme of support actions called the "ESA SME Initiative", initiated in January 1999, and including a set of measures tailored to facilitate SMEs' access to ESA programmes and to improve the conditions under which they operate. Helping SMEs improve their technical skills and competences through "Training and technical assistance" is one of these measures, pursued since 6 years now.
The 4 courses proposed this year are:,- Quality & Products Assurance (27-28-29 of June 2005),,- ECSS and SoftWare Engineering standards (30 of June 1st of July 2005),,- Space Structures (4-5 of July 2005),,- Writing a good Proposal for an ESA ITT (6-7-8 of July 2005).
Registration deadline is June 3, 2005 and participation from SMEs is free of charge.
