Communication technologies in the workplace
The aim of the conference is to discuss advancements in technology in terms of structure in the workplace and how these affect organization, competences and training needs. The implications of new technologies such as mobile telephones, laptop computers and the Internet will also be discussed.
The widespread use of new technologies threatens certain professions, modifies others, and encourages the emergence of new professional profiles. The conference will examine the implications of these new developments with particular reference to regions such as Wallonia, Belgium.
The conference will comprise a series of presentations covering the following:
- Advanced communications technologies: Economic potential and changes in qualifications;
- Work and communication: A new definition of competences;
- New systems for organization and communication in business;
- Case study on the use of advanced technology, work organization and professional competences;
- The Information Society and the demand for temporary staff;
