Virtual matchmaking event at www.smesgolifesciences.org

This Virtual matchmaking event (VMM) is designed to help identify research interests in Life Sciences at the European level and maximise the involvement of SMEs in research projects of Call 4 of Priority 1 "Life Sciences, Genomics and Biotechnology for health" (TP1), which is the last Call for Proposals under the 6th Framework Program (FP6). The deadline for Call 4 is November 9th, 2005.
To this end, all 28 partners of the "SMEs go LifeSciences" network have collected and selected relevant partner searches and profiles from researchers and Life Science companies in their own countries. The classification of the partner searches and profiles is done according to topics open for submission in Call 4 but can also be searched upon any keyword.
Experts from "SMEs go LifeSciences" will support their national candidates to match profiles and contact potential partners among more than 650 profiles collected up to now in 25 countries.
Each partner will match the partner searches and profiles of her/his country to others in the same topic, which are in the project database.
Those researchers and SMEs in a given category or topic will be contacted by the relevant "SMEs go LifeSciences" partner and then contact details will be exchanged in order to allow the researchers and SMEs to find one another.
The primary aim of "SMEs go LifeSciences" is to increase the number of SMEs, successfully involved in the New Instruments of FP6, and the VMM is an important means to achieving that aim.
