Plenary sessions led by expert speakers from Europe as well as the US will cover a wide range of subjects.
The following subjects will be covered:,* Plenary sessions on,- The changing role of venture capital in university-based spin-out companies,- Innovation in Greece,- Sniff-testing a venture,- A debate whether the Technology Transfer should be driven entirely by profit,* An Introductory track on Managing Intellectual Property (including sessions on: When to patent inventions and when not to, the art of triage Managing the academic interface The importance of due diligence What are we doing here? Problem cases),* Parallel sessions on Tech Transfer Policy Transfer (Structuring inventor rewards Building a reputation for innovation Food and medical devices Licencse deals you shouldn't do Licensing case study),* Parellel sessions on New Age Spin-outs (Bootstrapping new ventures - Managing technology development funds Business Angels Corporate venture funds )
The event will attract around 200 people related to technology transfer from within and beyond Europe.
Preceding the conference ASTP offers an optional social program on Wednesday afternoon the 12th of October with a guided tour to the Akropolis.
