The network of the Innovation Relay Centres are organising BioMeetingpoint 2005, an international partnering event during the international fair Biotechnica 2005 in Hanover on 18-19 October 2005.

18 October 2005 - 19 October 2005

The network is represented by NBANK Investitions- und Förderbank Niedersachsen GmbH, Zenit GmbH, Mühlheim/Ruhr, HessenAgentur GmbH, Wirtschaftsförderung und Technologietransfer Schleswig-Holstein and Steinbeis-Europa-Zentrum, Stuttgart., ,BioMeetingpoint 2005 is the opportunity for companies and research institutes to meet like-minded representatives of Europe's biotech community to discuss research and technological developments, products and applications and ways of cooperating.
Since 1997, the Innovation Relay Centres have organised targeted brokerage events at each Biotechnica fair in Hanover. Last year, more than 70 profiles were collected and in excess of 330 meetings were scheduled. The 2005 event aims to maximise the companies' visit to BioTechnica by offering a partnering event during which our technology experts will help to meet prospective clients and cooperation and partners in face-to-face meetings in the space of two days.
Innovation Relay Centres,The Innovation Relay Centre (IRC) Network was set up in 1995 by the European Commission and supports innovation and the transfer of technology in Europe. The network involves more than 1,000 people located in over 250 offices in 33 countries (25 EU Member States, Bulgaria, Romania, Iceland, Israel, Norway, Switzerland, Turkey and Chile) all offering specialised business support services to companies, research institutes, universities and technology centres. - I think the organisation of the event was very good. From the point of view of a research institution I consider bilateral meetings a good opportunity to get contact with companies.
The aim of BioMeetingpoint is to provide a forum where international decision makers in the biotechnology sector can meet to initiate or develop partnerships.
