Mediterranean food: Technologies and nutritional impacts

ALIMED'98, a European Technology Meeting, will be held in Avignon, France, on 25 and 26 June 1998, and will be supported under the EU's specific RTD programme in the field of Agriculture and Fisheries (FAIR). The meeting is organized by various French agencies for innovation, including the Innovation Relay Centre for the South of France.

The meeting will focus on food processing and packaging technologies, and will offer the agro-food industry sector the opportunity to develop partnerships with counterparts in other Mediterranean regions. These partnerships may involve technology transfers, the creation of R&D consortia, industrial projects or commercial agreements.

Presentations during the meeting from national and international experts will ensure that companies have access to scientific and technical information concerning Mediterranean products, their health benefits, and leading-edge technologies to guarantee their intrinsic qualities.
