SOCQUIT conference "Social Capital and Quality of Life in the Information Society in Paris

At the conference, experts from the project will talk about their new insights on how information and communication technologies (ICT) influence social capital and quality of life. Based on empirical results from four case studies, the opportunities and threats of ICT will be discussed. The SOCQUIT case studies cover the areas employment, ageing society, local ICT initiatives, and migrants.
The implications of the results will be discussed with European policy makers and representatives from the ICT industry. SOCQUIT will also demonstrate its decision-support tool, which facilitates the use of the SOCQUIT results by policy makers.
The conference is organised by the SOCQUIT consortium and supported by France Télécom R&D.
