Results from FP5 projects in Environment and Health to be presented at joint Conference

Three projects funded under Key action 4 - Environment and Health will be presenting their results at a joint Conference to be held in Brussels on 23-25 November 2005.

23 November 2005 - 25 November 2005

PINCHE, PLUTOCRACY and CHILDRENGENONETWORK have all carried out studies relating to environmental exposure effects upon child health, with a particular focus upon the unborn child. The areas of interest include policy implications relating to child health (PINCHE), children's exposure and susceptibility to genotoxicants (CHILDRENGENONETWORK), and in utero exposure to environmental agents such as organochlorine pesticides and development of allergy (PLUTOCRACY).
The meeting will take place at the Marignan Conference Center in Brussels and will be preceded by a Reception on the 23rd November (evening) where there will be an opportunity for informal discussion of the projects and networking with other interested stakeholders. The rest of the meeting will present the current outcomes of the projects and discuss the emerging issues and suggestions for future activities in this area.
Places at the Conference are limited so early registration is advised. Please contact Dr Margaret Saunders for details. Information will be displayed on the PINCHE website (www.pinche.hvdgm.nl).
