Workshop: EU Research Projects: Manager's Guide to Troubleshooting

Managing a collaborative EU research project poses a number of challenges rarely encountered elsewhere. Projects are multi-cultural, incorporating partners with diverse objectives and working cultures; they involve a high level of technical risk, but are also designed to fulfil a political agenda. This workshop aims to equip participants with knowledge and understanding of the particular demands of EU funded research projects. The workshop is aimed not only at project coordinators, but also at project managers within each partner in the project. The workshop will emphasise practical management techniques rather than the formal administrative requirements.
