LIFE workshop during the FACTOR 4+ congress and trade fair

The FACTOR 4+Congress and Trade Fair, the first international event of its kind on sustainable production technologies, products and services, will take place in Klagenfurt, Austria, from 17 to 21 June 1998 (see RTD-News RCN 9378).
During the event, a stand will be organized by the European Commission, DG XI, to present the EU's Financial Instrument for the Environment (LIFE). A workshop on resource efficiency will also be organized on the third day of the conference, to present projects funded under the LIFE instrument. The three major areas for action under LIFE, Environment, Nature and Third Countries, and the different priorities therein will also be presented.
The workshop will offer participants the opportunity to take part in a general discussion on LIFE and the aims of the various programmes. Information on applications for funding under LIFE will also be presented and a final discussion on resource efficiency will give participants a broad overview of the future direction of the programme.
