TELECOM Israel'98, an international exhibition of telecommunications technology, will be held in Tel Aviv, Israel, from 9 to 12 November 1998. The aim of the exhibition is to showcase the latest technologies and applications in telecommunications, and to provide participants with the opportunity to gain new insights into today's critical business and technical issues. The exhibition will also offer delegates the opportunity to participate in hands-on demonstrations of exhibited products.

TELECOM'98 will build on last year's exhibition, which involved 100 exhibitors and had a total of over 60,000 visitors. The main product groups on display will include:

- Cable television systems;
- Communications equipment for the office, factory and the home;
- Computer integrated telephony;
- Electronic systems;
- Mobile communications;
- Satellite communications;
- Security systems;
- Telecommunication transmission networks;
- Video communications;
- Voice processing.
