Second INSME Annual Meeting 2006

The second INSME Annual Meeting 2006 is organised by the INSME Association in Montevideo (Uruguay) on 24-26 April 2006.

24 April 2006 - 26 April 2006

Of special note is the international conference to be held on April 25 ( http://www.annualmeeting2006.insme.org/?pg=tuesday_25/ ), which will provide participants with the ideal setting for exchanging experiences and learning about SME innovation related issues.

This conference is focused on "Boosting Innovation by Bridging the Knowledge Gap: a Developer-User Approach". As a matter of fact, innovation is strongly linked to the concept of knowledge: broadly speaking, it is a creative outcome that implies the use of knowledge. At user level (i.e. enterprise) innovation is a means to stay competitive on the global markets; at developer level (i.e. intermediary organisations), innovation reflects a network-oriented perspective that involves different players (public bodies, research centres, educational organisations, etc.).

The two approaches are interdependent and the inadequacy of knowledge flows between the two levels may give rise to discrepancies.

During the INSME International Conference, outstanding speakers will shed lights on these discrepancies and will debate with participants on how to overcome them, in order to boost innovation by way of favouring the diffusion of knowledge among culturally and geographically distant players.

We suggest that interested participants make their registration as soon as possible so as to take advantage of early bird fees:
