Magnetic recording media

The seventh international conference on magnetic recording media will be held in Maastricht, The Netherlands, from 31 August to 2 September 1998 and will be supported by the European Commission under the Industrial and Materials Technologies research programme (BRITE-EURAM).
The aim of the conference is to provide an international forum to exchange and discuss research results with representatives from academia and industry. The scope of the meeting will cover basic and applied developments in important physical, chemical, tribological and material properties of all types of magnetic and magneto-optic recording media.
Special attention will also be devoted to media designed for ultra high density storage applications, including preparation techniques, advanced characterization methods, as well as micromagnetic calculations and imaging.
