Sixth EBAN Congress 2006

The first Congress organised in Eastern Europe will be hosted in the City Hall of Prague on 10-11 April 2006.

This high-level event the following issues:

- Real-life testimonies of angels from three different European countries;
- Challenges for entrepreneurship and angel finance in CEE countries
- Transnational investing: myth or reality?
Sourcing for business angel networks: how to attract good projects?
- International trends in angel investing: Speakers from Israel, Japan, United States and the UK
- Specialised angel investing
- Countries supporting angel investing
- How to solve the asymmetry problem between business angels and venture capitalists?
- The role of public authorities in stimulating the angel market

The first EBAN Award Ceremony will be organised at the Marriott Prague Hotel on Monday 10th evening, animated by a journalist from Sciencebusiness.net and will congratulate the following initiatives from business angel networks Europe-wide:

- Network that has achieved the most promising exit

- Network that has initiated the best benchmarking/research work

- Network that has introduced the best new tool/innovation/best practice in its network

- Network that has created the best co-investment initiative

Entrance fee for non-members is 200€, including coffee breaks, lunch and award ceremony dinner on Monday 10th.

- Encouraging the exchange of experience among business angels networks and encouraging "best practice"
- Promoting recognition of business angels networks
- Contributing to working out and carrying out local, regional and national programs of assistance to the creation and development of a positive environment for business angels activities
