Grain production and marketing

Défi Blé 1998, the Third International Grain Conference, will be held in Paris, France, on 22 and 23 October 1998. The aim of the conference is to provide a forum for discussion on major economic, political, scientific, technical, agronomic and sociological changes which will affect world grain production.

The conference will update participants on the latest trends in the sector and provide the opportunity to discuss future issues related to grain production and marketing. Participants will also be given the opportunity to share the analyses of international experts on the following issues:

- The liberalization of the grain market and company strategies;
- Feed, meat, poultry and dairy market-driven logic and company strategies;
- Environment and competitiveness;
- The potential of worldwide grain production;
- The challenge of technical progress;
