Matchmaking for small and medium-sized manufacturing companies
The aim of the event, which takes place within the framework of the Transatlantic Small Business Initiative (TBSI), is to help small and medium-sized manufacturing companies in the EU and the US to explore and establish international business partnerships.
The event will provide participants with the opportunity to discuss mutually beneficial initiatives such as joint ventures, technology transfers, sub-contracting, distribution, and research and development, through a series of individual meetings with the companies selected by participants prior to the event. Participation in the event is limited to companies which fall into one of four broad industrial sectors: machinery, electronics, biotechnology or food processing equipment.
The topics to be addressed in the plenary sessions of the conference will include the following:
- Prospects and problems in transatlantic trade and investment;
- Cultural hurdles in transatlantic trade;
- Regulatory and financial aspects of doing transatlantic business;
- Establishing successful transatlantic operations and partnerships.
