European Quality Week 1998 - "Sharing responsibilities, sharing benefits"

European Quality Week 1998 will be held from 9 to 15 November 1998, organized by the European Quality Platform and supported by the European Commission, DG III. The week provides an annual focus for public awareness campaigns, promotion and demonstration of the advantages and importance of quality to competitiveness across Europe.

The theme of this year's event will be "Quality in Europe: sharing responsibilities, sharing benefits" and the event will aim to address the key question of how to balance varied and sometimes competing interests to best effect. A series of events on quality management and related benefits will be held all over Europe during this week.

A key feature of this year's event will be a Virtual Congress, to be held from 1 to 22 November 1998. This will, in effect, provide a discussion forum for the theme of this year's event, which will be opened with statements from a leading industrialist and a representative of the European Commission. All those who take part in the Virtual Congress will automatically receive the conclusions by e-mail.
