The first virtual conference on environmental issues in Germany will be held from 1 September to 30 December 1998, coordinated by the Technische Universität Hamburg-Harburg. The aim of the conference is to provide a discussion forum which can be accessed by a wide range of interested parties to discuss environmental issues. One of the key issues to be discussed is new technologies for environmental protection, to provide an opportunity for technology transfer and promote the spread of good practice.
The following themes will be covered during the conference:
- Environmental protection issues;
- Environmental management;
- Environmental quality and quality assurance;
- Eco-auditing and design;
- Environmental ethics, law and politics;
- Environmental technology;
- Waste issues.
The participants in the event are likely to include representatives from industries, SMEs, environmental organizations, public authorities and academics.
