6th European Vehicle Passive Safety Conference

This conference is jointly organised by the FP6 Network of Excellence APSN (Advanced Passive Safety Network) and the APROSYS (Advanced Protection Systems)Integrated Project.

The APROSYS Integrated Project started in 2004 and will present its first results during the morning session: progress made in several sub-projects will be highlighted. Among the topics presented are: Intelligent Safety Systems for Side Impact Protection, Advances in Virtual Testing and the development of the Small Female World Side Impact Dummy. Following this, the winner of the Young APSN Award 2005 will present his research.

The afternoon session will be dedicated to the presentation of APSN Network's vision on future research priorities, which will be published in an updated version of the APSN Roadmap. This presentation will lead into a Panel Discussion also focusing on the future research needs in Integrated Safety. Representatives of other European Community funded projects in the area of vehicle safety will share their results and visions.
