MYCAREVENT CEN/STAR Trends Analysis Workshop

MYCAREVENT has identified several areas where standards are needed for further developments; now it is time to discuss standardization needs arising from the project with the interested public.

22 May 2006 - 22 May 2006
Austria
Together with DIN and in collaboration with CEN/STAR, the Advisory Committee for standardization and research to CEN, MYCAREVENT is inviting you and your colleagues to participate in this special event taking place at DIN Berlin May 22, 2006.

MYCAREVENT, an Integrated Project funded by the European Commission (Project No 004402), started in September 2004 and since then has made significant progress in establishing a mobile service world for repair and related services for passenger vehicles.

This after-sales market is of great importance to all market participants. Success is determined by fast, reliable provision of services, safe communication channels, access to exactly that type and kind of information that is needed for a particular job, be it roadside or in a work shop.

Standards are needed to support and sustain the intricate and complex interaction of information processing, hard and software, information modelling, and terminology to – last but not least – deliver the service to the customer who decides on its particular value.

The Trends Analysis Workshop will present standardization potentials and challenges of MYCAREVENT, and which will be highlighted by a panel with representatives from the automotive industry, standardizers, policy makers and other relevant stakeholders who will be discussing the issue of voluntary standards vs. mandatory legislation in the field.

We would like to welcome you and your colleagues at this very interesting Workshop. Participation is free of charge, conference language will be English. All participants will receive proceedings and be kept informed on the next steps and progress in standardization relevant to MYCAREVENT if so indicated.

Please register under http://www.ebn.din.de following the link to MYCAREVENT.
