The Austrian University of Economics will host a conference on preparation programmes for international students in Europe, to be held in Vienna, Austria, from 25 to 27 November 1998. The aim of the conference is to continue dialogue on university preparation programmes at European level, and to present certain aspects of the work carried out by the Network of Universities from the Capitals of Europe (UNICA).
Apart from dealing with specific questions dealing with university preparation, the conference will also address global issues such as student mobility, particularly in the context of North-South dialogue.
Specific topics to be discussed will cover:
- Leading student transfers in education;
- The role of European universities in the international process;
- Benefits from increased student mobility;
- Implementing the principles of cultural exchange in education.
