One hundred years of picornavirology

EUROPIC'98, the tenth meeting of the European study group on the molecular biology of picornaviruses will be held in Jena, Germany, from 5 to 11 September 1998. The conference will comprise scientific symposia and poster sessions on the latest developments in the field.
Specific topics to be covered will include:
- Viral receptors and early steps of infection;
- Pathogenesis;
- Viral translation;
- Viral replication;
- Structures of virus capsids and viral proteins;
- Immunology, vaccines, diagnosis and antiviral therapy;
- Evolution and taxonomy of picornaviruses;
- Poliovirus eradication.
