AFE-Tech Workshop 2006 in Barcelona

The AFE-Tech workshop will be held in Barcelona, on July 5-7, 2006. Applied and Emerging Technologies in food processing is organised by the Research Center and Technology Food Plant (CERPTA) of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and the Catalan Institute for Wine (INCAVI)

The workshop will consist of plenary sessions, poster sessions, round tables, conference sessions, and exhibition of prototypes. AFE-Tech Workshop 2006 is addressed to scientists, research teams, professionals involved in technology transfer, food industry people, PhD students, and entrepreneurs. It will focus on: preserves, ready to eat foods, minimally processed foods, dairy foods, vegetable milks and wine.

The main objectives of AFE-Tech workshop are: enhance research, promote new ideas in food science and intensify technology transfer to food industries.

In addition, the UAB intends to disseminate the knowledge generated by the FP6 EU project UHPH 512626: “Development and optimisation of a continuous ultra high pressure homogenising for application on milk and vegetable milks”.
