IRC HELP FORWARD and the Association of Information Technology Companies of Northern Greece – SEPVE will organize between 30th of September and 1st of October 2006 in Thessaloniki (Greece) the second Brokerage Event within the project "Enhancing the participation of research organizations from Associated Candidate Countries to FP6 – European IST", during the 20th INFOSYSTEM Fair.

30 September 2006 - 1 October 2006

The event will focus mainly on information technologies, telecommunications and digital technologies, which are also the Fair’s main topics. In addition, the BE will be combined with an IT conference and a Technology Transfer Event optimising the benefit for the participants.

The event is organised by an international consortium, which aims to create a network for the IST research community across Europe and maximize the number of proposal submitted within FP7 (see www.european-ist.net) in collaboration with the IRC network (irc.cordis.lu). The event is addressed to all companies, research centres and universities working in the ICT sector and/or developing technologies that could be used in this sector.

In detail, the BE will last two-days and it will include an information session for the 7th Framework Program with the presence of expert speakers from the European Commission. In addition the BE will also include a partnering session where the participants will have the opportunity to discuss project ideas for the forthcoming calls of FP7. During the second day of the event, the companies will have the chance to realise business meetings with other companies and research organisations and discuss new technologies to be offered or requested. For further information, please visit: http://www.european-ist.net/index_news.php(opens in new window)
