SABRE Launch and first Conference

SABRE – ‘Cutting Edge Genomics for Sustainable Animal Breeding” - is an innovative four-year, €23 million pan-European FP6 Integrated Project which utilises the latest techniques in genetic science to develop more economically and environmentally sustainable production systems for cattle, pigs and chickens.

SABRE Launch and first Conference:
The SABRE Launch and 1st Conference will take place on the 12th and 13th of September 2006 at the Royal Museum in Edinburgh, Scotland. The entire event will provide an excellent opportunity to learn, network and celebrate the official launch of SABRE .

Satellite Meetings:
In addition to the SABRE meetings, a Genesis Faraday meeting (open to all) and EFFAB (European Forum of Farm Animal Breeders) meeting (EFFAB members only) will be held on the joint theme of Sustainable Animal Breeding.
