The final seminar under the COST Transport Action "Integrated strategic infrastructure networks in Europe" will be held in Bilbao, Spain, on 5 and 6 November 1998. Transport is one of the 17 domains under the European COST initiative for cooperation in scientific and technical research.
The project brought together a total of 17 countries and concentrated on the necessary components of an overall evaluation process of network performance, including all aspects of infrastructure. Another part of the research examined these evaluation processes in greater detail through specific case studies.
The aim of this final seminar is to present the results of the action and to provide a forum for discussion with both private and public stakeholders. The seminar will also discuss a number of other European projects, which are focused on the strategic assessment of trans-European networks and the common transport policy.
