NEST-PROMISE workshop “Risky and Visionary Research: challenges and opportunities”

The NEST-PROMISE (NEST-Promoting Research on Optimal Methodology and Impacts Supported by Experience) Consortium is organising its first regional workshop “Risky and Visionary Research: challenges and opportunities”, which will take place on 18 September 2006 in Pisa, Italy.

18 September 2006 - 18 September 2006
Italy
The workshop – funded by the European Commission, under the auspices of the Italian Rectors’ Conference and the University of Pisa - aims at bringing together key players - policy makers & administrative staff - who can have an influence on the national funding scheme and user communities, i.e. researchers and industry players, to exchange experiences on existing and potential national and international Nest-like Programmes and to establish a pan-European Network of contacts in NEST/HINGE (High Innovation/Gain/Expectation) Programmes.

It is our pleasure to announce to you the participation of Dr. Carlos Saraiva Martins - from the European Commission, DG Research and Project Officer of NEST-PROMISE, who will make a presentation on the NEST activity - an "open space" to stimulate creative, visionary and anticipatory science and technology and provide an anticipation of the evolution of the NEST programme in FP7.

To have a complete overview of our presenters, to download the preliminary programme and for further information regarding travel and hotel accomodation visit our website at http://www.nest-promise.net/events.html(opens in new window)

Participation is free of charge, but registration is mandatory. Please confirm your participation by sending an e-mail to nest-promise@cpr.it no later than Friday 8th September, 2006.
