Information day for the 7th Framework Programme in Greece

An information day on the 7th Framework Programme is to be held in Thessaloniki, Greece, on 22 September 2006, organised by the National Documentation Centre (EKT) and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
The event aims to provide experts from academia, research institutes, industry and governmental organizations with updated information regarding FP7, before the announcement of the first calls for proposals at the end of 2006. The officials of the European Commission will give detailed presentations on the programme "Ideas" and the role of the European Research Council, the programme "People" and the Marie Curie Actions, the programmes "Cooperation" and "Capacities" and, specifically, the following research areas: Health, Information and Communication Technologies, Socio-economic Sciences and Humanities, Research Infrastructures.
In addition, the information day will be an opportunity to present support activities and European networks that enhance participation in the competitive European Framework Programmes.
