3rd GRIDS@Work and GRID Contest

All the power of the Grid at the heart of Sophia Antipolis, France

27 November 2006 - 1 December 2006
Austria
From the 27th November to the 1st December 2006, INRIA, ETSI, and the European Project CoreGRID (managed by ERCIM) are organising the 3rd GRIDS@Work event, co-hosted with the GRID 'N-Queens & Flowshop' contests.

In a week of activity, the objective of the event is to bring together the main players in the GRID domain in Europe and to act as a stimulus for further advancement and integration.

The GRID enables large scale computational problem solving by using networked computers via clusters, in diverse locations across the Globe.

At the heart of the GRID lies a Professional Open Source, the Middleware ObjectWeb ProActive. This year, the major theme of the 3rd GRID@Work conference will be the real life applications of the GRID in Industry. Sponsors include HP and Oracle and the event will take place in Sophia Antipolis, France.
