Workshop: Finance in EU Research Projects

The financial guidelines for EU-funded research projects in Framework Six fill a 250 page manual, and are supported by audit guidelines, reporting guidelines and much more. They cover everything from eligible costs to interest earned on advance payments, from payment terms to penalties, from subcontracting to social costs. Through lectures and exercises, this workshop will give you a practical interpretation of the financial EU rules and guidelines drawing on real experience. It will also provide a description of the changes proposed for Framework Seven, which is due to start in 2007.

The workshop is essential for finance and administration staff involved in EU research projects, whether as a coordinator or partner. It is also suitable for project managers and professional advisors working on these projects. It will be limited to 24 participants, to allow high levels of interaction and plenty of time for questions.
