"The Wireless Economy" is a major conference and exhibition for the mobile and wireless communications sector, which takes place in London, United Kingdom, from 15 to 17 September 1998.

The event will bring together the major companies, representative organisations and interest groups from the mobile communications sector. The conference will open with a plenary session discussing strategic directions for the wireless economy. Individual sessions will then look in more detail at different sectors:
- Digital cellular;
- Broadband and UTMS;
- Mobile data and mobile Internet;
- Network access;
- Infrastructure and network management;
- Customer care;
- Trunked mobile radio;
- Paging;
- Mobile commerce.

Major round-table sessions will also be held with senior executives of major international companies in the mobile communications sector.
