The third European biotechnology symposium takes place in Glasgow, United Kingdom, from 14 to 16 September 1998. The event will bring together biotechnology companies from all over Europe and beyond to discuss the latest developments in biotechnology and exchange experience.

The symposium programme will be split in two tracks, one for manufacturing and one for biobusiness. An opening plenary will look forward to biotechnology in Europe in ten years time, whilst the closing session will look at the impact of the successful cloning of Dolly the sheep more than a year ago. The manufacturing track will look at the different stages in developing biopharmaceutical products, while the biobusiness track will look at the various initiatives and support services for commercialising biotechnology products.
