EU-Japan High Tech Forum

The third EU-Japan High Tech Forum will be held in Tokyo, Japan, on 25 November 1998. The event will be supported by the European Commission Delegation in Japan and the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation. The aim of the event is to bring together European engineers and researchers working in Japan and industrialists from the EU and Japan to highlight the state and perspectives of EU-Japanese scientific cooperation and technological partnerships.

The forum will be divided into a number of sessions covering the following:

- Aeronautical technologies, advanced materials and non-destructive testing;
- Robotics, engineering and information technologies;
- Life science technologies, biotechnology, medicine and pharmacy;
- Environmental technologies;
- Globalisation of the Japanese economy, situation and perspectives of partnerships between Japan and Europe.
