JFLA'99 will be held in Avoriaz, France, on 1 and 2 February 1999. It will be organised by the French National Institute for Research in Computer Science (INRIA) and will be the tenth in a series of conferences on applied languages with reference to French.

The conference organisers are currently seeking submissions of abstracts for papers to be presented during the conference. The theme of applied languages will be covered in a very broad sense and areas of interest will include:

- Semantics;
- Compilation;
- Interpretation and assessment;
- Parallelism;
- Computer applications and tools;
- New language and dialects;
- Innovative applications;
- Links with other programming methodologies.
