BRITE/EURAM information days: Autumn 1992

Four information days organized by the European Commission aim to promote participation in the specific programme of research and technological development in the field of industrial and materials technologies (BRITE/EURAM II, 1990-1994).
Taking place in Bonn (8-9 October), Birmingham (28-29 October), Lyon (9-10 November), and Lisboa (3-4 December), the events will give information on the BRITE/EURAM programme, provide an industrial forum on specific themes, and further the transfer and exploitation of RTD results. They will help bring together potential partners and at the same time facilitate the involvement of small and medium-sized enterprises.
Each information day will have a specific technical theme. These are "Processing" (Bonn), "Technology Transfer" (Birmingham), "Manufacturing" (Lyon), and "CRAFT" (Lisboa), and will include a proposers forum enabling prospective project leaders to announce their projects through expressions of interest, and to give prospective partners the opportunity to meet and negotiate.
The four two-day events involve the participation of VALUE, the specific programme for the dissemination and utilization of scientific and technological research results. The conference sessions will be supported by a exhibition (display stands and posters) featuring highlights of the most significant completed and current projects within BRITE\EURAM and the raw materials and recycling programme. Videos of projects will also be shown.
In parallel with the Birmingham information days a workshop will take place on the subject of "Assembly and Jointing", while the Lyon event will be accompanied by a workshop under the title "Textile and Clothing".
