Power electronics and applications

EPE'99, the eighth European conference on power electronics and applications will be held in Lausanne, Switzerland, from 7 to 9 September 1999. It will be organised by the European Power Electronics Association and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, and will provide a unique forum for the presentation of technological advances and research results from engineers in the field.

The conference organisers are currently seeking the submission of papers for presentation during the conference covering the following topics:

- Devices in power electronics;
- Power electronic converter circuits;
- Power supplies;
- Electrical machines and control;
- Motion control and robotics;
- Measurements and sensors;
- Electric and hybrid vehicles;
- Power electronics in generation, transmission and distribution;
- Systems engineering;
- Emerging technologies and education.

In addition to the plenary sessions, the event will feature an exhibition in parallel to the conference, and a technical programme examining further issues in the field of power electronics and applications.
