TranSMEs Training Sessions – How to succeed in FP7

Early 2007, the TranSMEs project will organise 6 national training sessions that will provide the participants practical knowledge about how to write proposals for Seventh Framework Programme, and how to find partners.

The target audience for these sessions are SMEs in the field of ‘Transport’ or ‘Environment’ from the six ACC and NMS that participate in the TranSMEs project. The OMS Italy and the Netherlands will participate in the training sessions to take care of the knowledge transfer from the OMS to the NMS and ACC.

The agenda of these training sessions will be built around the following building blocks, that will be adapted to the local needs:

Session 1: Seventh Framework Programme
General introduction / Priority "Transport" FP7 / Prioirity 6. "Environment" in FP7 / Possibilities for SMEs

Session 2: Practical information about the Seventh Framework Programme
Rules for participation / Guide for proposers / Planning of project budget

Session 3: Aspects of good proposals
Presentation and evaluation procedures / Examples

Session 4: Creation of a consortium
How to create a good consortium / How to prepare a partner profile

The training sessions will be held in the six participating countries of the TranSMEs project, and are scheduled as follows:
1. January 23, Poznan, Poland
2. January 25, Istanbul, Turkey
3. February 6, Ljubljana, Slovenia
4. February 8, Kaunas, Lithuania
5. February 26, Sofia, Bulgaria
6. February 28, Budapest, Hungary
