BReATH closing conference
OBJECTIVES:
The objectives of the event include:
- Presenting BReATH project results, in particular the case studies and the good practice framework for broadband development in the New Member States.
- Putting the BReATH findings in perspective by looking at broadband development results from related projects, especially those targeting NMSs.
- A discussion of the way ahead for residential and SME broadband deployment in the New Member States and Acceding and Candidate Countries.
STRUCTURE:
The event is structured into 3 sessions and a panel discussion:
Session 1: EC objectives and user perspectives
Session 2: Regional initiatives in NMSs
Session 3: Developing good practices
Panel discussion: The way ahead

ABOUT BReATH (Broadband e-Services and Access for the Home):
BReATH is a Specific Support Action project funded by the European Commission under the 6th Framework Programme in the thematic area Information Society Technologies. The main objective of BReATH is to stimulate and support the transfer of know-how and best practices in planning and delivering broadband e-services and access to the EU New Member States (NMS) and Acceding and Candidate Countries (ACC), involving as many stakeholders and actors as possible and fostering cross-border research collaboration.
