The Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) has been launched with a budget of approximately €50 billion 2007-2013. The Commission published the first FP7 calls for proposals on 22 December 2006 and the first deadlines will be in late Spring 2007. UKRO will be holding a series of one-day proposal writing courses across the UK for researchers and research administrators involved in preparing FP7 proposals. The course is designed to help you find the relevant funding opportunities in FP7 and equip you with the essential information you need to apply for the 2007 calls. The course enable researchers to understand the opportunities available in the four main FP7 Specific Programmes (Co-operation, Capacities, People (Marie Curie) and Ideas (the ERC). The evaluation criteria and evaluation process will be explained and participants will receive information about contracts and finances as well as submitting a proposal. UKRO will provide invaluable hints and tips on proposal writing best practice from FP6 to help to maximise your chances of success.

This course is ideally suited to all researchers interested in participating in FP7 calls for proposals and to research administrators who work with academics at the pre-award stage.

The changes from FP6 and FP7 will be explained and participants will receive the invaluable information needed to prepare their first FP7 proposals.
