ScanBalt seminar on building open innovation platforms in bioscience
The objective of the ScanBalt Intellectual Property Knowledge Network (IPKN) is to facilitate regional cooperation and coordination of research and education in the field of intellectual property(IP) management in order to boost supply and demand as well as accessibility of IP knowledge throughout the ScanBalt BioRegion. ScanBalt IPKN is supported by the European Union FP6 - Sixth Framework Programme - as a Specific Support Action in the LifeSciHealth framework.
In today’s world, developing successful innovations in bioscience increasingly requires sophisticated platforms that emphasize both collaboration and commercialization. At the core of these innovation platforms that emphasize knowledge sharing and joint development among key stakeholders from healthcare, academia, SMEs, big pharma, and regulatory organizations is the need to effectively manage intellectual property.
This seminar will focus on how European industry and academia can build the critical knowledge management and intellectual property management systems to support successful innovation platforms in bioscience. Several examples of Global/European/regional open innovation platforms will be discussed.
The seminar is organised jointly by:
Steinbeis Team Northeast within ScanBalt Intellectual Property Knowledge Network
(ScanBalt IPKN) in cooperation with IPR University Center Helsinki and European Foundation of Biotechnology
