2nd Welfare Quality® Stakeholder Conference

The 2nd Welfare Quality® Stakeholder Conference
‘Assuring animal welfare: from societal concerns to implementation’ will take place on 3-4 May 2007 in Berlin, Germany

3 May 2007 - 4 May 2007
Germany
Welfare Quality® is a European inter-disciplinary research project that addresses numerous issues related to safeguarding animal welfare in the food chain.

This conference will examine and discuss the results generated during the second and third year of the research project Welfare Quality®: Integration of Animal Welfare in the Food Quality Chain, which is funded by the EU’s Sixth Research Framework Programme (FP6).

The primary goals of this conference are to facilitate a dialogue about our results with all relevant stakeholders and to identify mutually beneficial activities. It will also provide an excellent opportunity for stakeholders to meet project partners and to gain insights into cutting edge animal welfare research.

The conference is especially relevant for:
- Producer associations
- Animal breeding organisations
- Retailer organisations
- Consumer organisations
- European and national politicians
- Interest groups
- Policymakers
