The Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania Gediminas Kirkilas is a patron of the conference.
The main objective of the FP7 National Launching Conference is to officially start FP7 in Lithuania and provide information on major aims, rules of participation, and specific programmes of FP7. The event will also serve as an occasion to summarize Lithuanian participation in FP6.
European Commissioner for Science and Research Janez Poto?nik is going to open the conference, while other representatives of the European Commission are invited to give presentations.
