European MIT Conference in Brussels: "Achieving Growth through Strategic Innovation II"

Agoria, the Belgian multi-sector industry association, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology are organising an international conference “Achieving Growth through Strategic Innovation II”. The event takes place on 29 and 30 March 2007 at the Management Centre Europe in Brussels.

29 March 2007 - 30 March 2007
Belgium
Building on the success of the first conference on innovation held in 2005, this program will bring together more than 300 participants, providing an important forum for European business leaders and government authorities to discuss innovation policy and to review approaches to fostering innovation at the national, regional and organizational level. MIT faculty, government officials and industry speakers will focus on current and future innovation mechanisms, evaluate measures designed to support innovation, and present specific innovation opportunities in energy and IT-enabled healthcare.

The questions addressed at the conference, include:

How can firms think strategically about global product development?
What are best practices in innovation?
How can government, universities and industry collaborate to innovate?
What is the relationship between entrepreneurship and innovation?
Which is the better “business model”: products, services or something in between?
How will the promise of new materials help meet future energy challenges?
What is the future of IT-enabled healthcare?

Who should attend the event? Government representatives, policy makers, academic thought-leaders, and senior general management from visionary companies.

“Achieving Growth through Strategic Innovation II” provides one of the few occasions in Europe to meet and network with leading MIT faculty members.
