LEARNTEC'99 - multimedia education and learning

A specialist trade fair in new technologies for multimedia education and learning will be held in Karlsruhe, Germany, from 9 to 11 February 1999. The event will present multimedia hardware and software, solution concepts for multimedia learning and information gathering, as well as strategies for using multimedia in schools, universities and industry.

The main topics of interest will include:

- European and national training projects;
- Learning materials, learning software and multimedia learning programs;
- Multimedia information systems and catalogues;
- Software tools for developing learning programmes;
- Presentation techniques;
- Hardware for learning and authoring workstations;
- Telecommunications and videoconferencing.

Key features will include a forum for the new media professions which will overview the current situation in multimedia qualification methods. In addition, a EURO-LEARNTEC platform will be introduced to facilitate the presentation of current European multimedia projects to large audiences from various industries.
